Certified Peer Support Worker (CPSW) Full-time – Harbor Homes
Harbor Homes is seeking full-time Certified Peer Support Workers to join our exciting new Mobile Crisis Team. You will be responsible for providing phone coverage on our 24 hour Crisis Line and in person screenings of persons with co-occurring mental health issues who present in crisis to determine necessity for further assessment and appropriate referrals. Other responsibilities include assisting participants (consumers and their families) in resolving crisis issues and gaining access to needed community resources, and helping them overcome barriers and bridge gaps between their needs and available resources.
Successful candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and certification as a Peer Support Worker at date of hire or within 6 months. Two years of behavioral health or related experience as well as familiarity with Peer Oriented Systems of Care required. If in Peer recovery, two years of continuous and significant evidence of personal stability necessary. Strong written and verbal communications and decision making skills are a necessity as well as knowledge of Microsoft office and computer skills.
