Analyzes, maintains, develops, and updates information and materials pertaining to alcohol and other drug issues in order to function as an effective information and referral resource to the community.
Develops accurate timely public information materials in multiple media.
Provides technical assistance for state and community partners, e.g. providers of alcohol and other drug services, coalitions, and community groups to promote effective use of information and resource dissemination and social marketing strategies as part of coordinated alcohol and other drug efforts.
Devises and recommends procedures for coordinating existing public education and media services and in promoting the development of new and expanded services to meet the needs of the population.
Develops and administers an established communication network to effectively and efficiently impart information and assistance to staff and local and statewide partners.
Provides training on communication and public relation strategies, e.g. developing press releases and media plans, to Regional Public Health Networks and community coalitions addressing alcohol and other drug issues.
Serves as liaison to the Partnership for a Drug Free New Hampshire and other related state and national partnerships.
Provides and updates website content and manages contract for public website, www.drugfreenh.org.
Oversees a lending library of alcohol and other drug prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery resources and curricula to be made available to staff, the public, and partner agencies.
Employees may be required to pay an agency/union fee.
