Substance Abuse Counselor
Opening in the fall of 2016, HHH plans to be a Level 3.5 licensed Residential Recovery Facility for pregnant woman with SUD, and their babies, for up to a year postpartum
HHH relationship-focused environment where you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of women and their families. You will be responsible for ensuring clients experience a safe, supportive, and caring environment while working toward sustained recovery.
32-hour per week substance abuse/ mental health counselor needed to assist in group facilitation, individual psychotherapy, and curriculum planning in a trauma-informed and gender responsive program. Counselor will be part of a team offering evidence based treatments to residents on a daily basis for up to 8 women. Counselor will be expected to maintain and update treatment plans, organize, interpret and implement program goals, and abide by agency policies and procedures.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social work, counseling, human services, psychology or related field. Supervision towards licensure offered.
Experience or interest in working with co-occurring disorders preferred
Ability to work with frequent interruptions and respond appropriately to unexpected situations
Requires knowledge and use of community resources.
Strong computer-based, verbal and written communication skills
A criminal background check and drug screening is required
