Thank you to NHADACA's generous supporters for the more than $700 they donated on Giving Tuesday.  Didn't give? There's still time to make a difference; donate today!

Your support keeps us strong and lets us do the best possible work, in 2021, 2022 and beyond. Help us build a New Hampshire where everyone can get the help they need. Thank you for all the support you've given us, and all the support you continue to give. We have faced challenges but your help makes a big difference!

In 2021 the IRS will once again allow donations of up to $300 for an individual/$600 for a couple to be deducted from your taxes without itemizing.

We appreciate your generosity today and every day. Thank you.

New Hampshire Psychological Association's Behavioral Healthcare Advocacy Committee is hosting a virtual town hall for all mental health and substance use providers.   Anthem is welcoming all providers to participate, regardless of whether you are currently in-network.

The purpose of this town hall is to have an open dialog where Anthem listens to your concerns and your suggestions on:

    1.  how to improve the working relationship between Anthem and providers and reduce administrative burdens;
    2.  improve access to care; and
    3.  answer questions and listen to feedback regarding such topics as reimbursement, contracting, provider relations, claims processing, 3rd party companies.

There is no agenda other than Anthem will be present to listen and to answer questions.   Anthem will be represented by:  Lisa Guertin (President), Dr. Richard LaFleur (Medical Director), Christie Beckwith (Regional VP of Provider Solutions), Vincent Conti (Regional VP of Provider Experience), Beth Marmolejos (Provider Experience Director), and Kim Valcourt (Provider Experience Manager).

The NH Psychological Assocation is scheduling this important meeting with hopefully enough advance notice to ensure as many providers attend as possible.  Here are the dates and times:

    • Tuesday, December 14;      6 pm - 7 pm
    • Thursday, December 16;  12 pm - 1 pm

To register, choose the session that works best for you, and click on the appropriate link below.

                                                  December 14th

                                                  December 16th

You are welcome to attend the whole meeting or come and go as your schedule permits. Feel free to pass along this invite to colleagues. Please join us and share your feedback.

    NEW!  Hot off the press

“Revising Addiction Treatment Digital Marketing in Real Time: The Newest Tech Tool in Addiction Treatment Target Marketing May Be the Last One You’ll Ever Need,”,”

As we approach the second half of 2021, there are lessons to be learned from 2020 for behavioral healthcare facilitators. Without question, the pandemic was a once-in-a-lifetime event in our personal and professional lives. Lockdowns and social distancing created greater need for addiction treatment. At the same time, providers had to figure out how to navigate a shifting landscape to provide it. What have been the results of this extraordinary paradigm shift? Is there a better way to anticipate emerging drug abuse trends going forward?

We are proud to announce that NHADACA raised $3,450 from 27 donors through the 24-hour NH Gives event, held statewide on June 6-7. Supporting donations from Mascoma Bank and Catholic Medical Center helped NHADACA over the $3,000 mark, along with the continued generosity of our members and supporters.

NH Gives begins on Tuesday, June 8 at 5 pm.  This is your chance to support NHADACA's work with a tax-deductible donation. Just visit our New Hampshire Gives page and your donation could be matched by our partners at Mascoma Bank and CMC/Catholic Medical Center.

Donations go to support scholarships and other needs not always covered by training contracts, like educational sessions on self-care and preventing burnout.

Do addictions counseling? Got 30 minutes? If so, participate in a study we're conducting about addiction counselors' views of using technology in addictions treatment! We hope that the data collected in this study will help us discover better ways to curate/disseminate evidence-based technologies to counselors who treat clients with alcohol/drug problems. The study is being conducted through Brown University's Center for Alcohol and Addictions Studies.

The study involves an online survey that takes about 30 minutes, can be completed entirely online, and if you complete it, we’ll send you a $20 Amazon gift card via email. To be eligible, participants must: (1) have a Bachelor's degree or higher, (2) be currently licensed/certified to provide counseling in the United States, and (3) provide alcohol/drug counseling directly to patients for at least 10% of their typical work week.

To see if you're eligible and complete the study, click here or paste the following link into your web browser:

If you have any questions, please email smashstudies@brown.edu. And thank you, in advance, for considering it!
