PRESENTATION: During this half day Motivational Interviewing training, Dr. Noel Quinn will briefly review Motivational Interviewing skills covered in the first session. Attendees will gain a more detailed understanding of MI fundamentals and OARS application.

For the second half of the training, Dr. Quinn will introduce client resistance and discordance; common barriers of effective MI. Attendees will have opportunities to sharpen their skills using all the MI tools through small group case-based interaction and feedback specific to substance use scenarios and other chronic conditions found within integrated medical settings.
