Scholarships

The New England Addiction Technology Transfer Center (ATTC) is pleased to announce the 10th cohort of the Leadership Development Program (LDP) for addiction professionals from across the continuum of care. This program will help attendees to integrate effective leadership practices into their workflow using a range of learning methods including a learning community, intact small group work, ongoing feedback from peers and trainers, role plays, learning partners, and case studies.

The LDP is designed to allow each participant to learn and develop their leadership skills as quickly and effectively as possible. The LDP offers a safe, supportive learning environment to allow each leadership program participant to reach their individual leadership development goals.

This 10th cohort will be offered as a hybrid program, consisting of both face-to-face (F2F) and virtual components. The F2F components will be delivered in Concord, NH, and Worcester, MA. Cohort 10 begins April 29, 2024

Scholarship applications are embedded into the program registration. Being accepted into the Leadership Development Program is a prerequisite to receive the scholarship.

BDAS awards full and partial scholarships for prevention, treatment, and recovery practitioners each year. AdCare Educational Institute of New England will host the New England Summer School of Addiction and Prevention Studies this year on June 10-13, 2024.  

Earn up to 26 continuing education hours by selecting from intensive courses each from across the continuum of treatment, prevention, and recovery, including offerings for established professionals.

Eligibility requirements: 

• Registered and accepted into the program
• Lives in New Hampshire
• Application submitted on or before application deadline
• Has not received this scholarship within two years

• Registered and accepted into the program
• Lives in New Hampshire
• Application submitted on or before application deadline
• Has not received this scholarship within two years

Due to the suicide prevention initiative, BDAS is offering scholarships for suicide prevention trainings hosted by NHADACA. These trainings offer anywhere from 2-6 continuing education hours. 

Our unique Train-it-Forward scholarship program provides the opportunity to attend any of our NHTIAD events through the generous donations we receive throughout the year!

Donate to Train-it-Forward

Due to a grant from the Bank of NH scholarships are available for clinicians seeking additional information about working with clients with substance use and co-occurring disorders. Scholarships may be applied to NHADACA / NHTIAD  training events. 

Eligibility requirements:

• Applicant must be working toward MLADC credential. 

Our Credentialing Support Partnership (CSP) scholarship is available to active participants of the program to attend any of our NHADACA training events that are needed towards licensure. 

The CSP is supported by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to help address behavioral health care workforce challenges exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes working to help reduce patient wait times and improve quality of care by expanding the behavioral health workforce capacity and access to evidence-based treatment from licensed clinicians.

Eligibility requirements: 

• Current participant of the CSP program that is working towards their LADC or MLADC credential. 

Scholarship recipients are chosen by the CSP team.

Megan Parnell, was a compassionate therapist dedicated to suicide awareness and serving the substance use community, provided hope and support to people in need. Megan overcame personal and professional challenges in order to be a lifeline to her clients. In honor of Megan, and to further her legacy, her family offers this scholarship annually to NH residents who are Certified as Recovery Support Workers and seeking to become counselors. This scholarship supports attendance at the NH Behavioral Health Summit.

The NH Behavioral Health Summit is the premiere annual conference for people who work in substance use and mental health professions. Held this year on December 9-10, 2024 in Manchester, NH. For more information about the Summit visit nhbhs.com

Eligibility requirements: 

• NH resident that currently works as a Certified Recovery Support Worker (CRSW) 
• Working toward LADC or MLADC

NHADACA awards up to a $500 scholarship for advanced level practitioners each year. AdCare Educational Institute of New England will host the New England School of Best Practices event this year on August 26-30, 2024.

• Current NHADACA member with LADC or MLADC, whom has been a member in good standing for the past 5 years. 

Scholarship applications are embedded into the program registration. Being accepted into the Best Practices program is a prerequisite to receive the scholarship.

The 2023 Annual NAADAC conference will be held in Denver, CO at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center from October 6-12, 2023.  NHADACA awards this scholarship opportunity each year.  The scholarship includes registration and travel expenses (such as airfare, standard baggage fees, lodging, mileage, tolls and parking). Scholarship does not include food/meals.

*Acceptance of this scholarship includes an agreement to attend a portion of the NAADAC Board Meeting and to also speak about your overall conference experience at the NHADACA 2023 Annual Meeting on October 18-23, 2024. 

Eligibility requirements: 

• Current NHADACA member (current LADC/MLADC licensure is not required). 
• Representatives on NHADACA Board of Directors within the past 5 years are not eligible. 

Scholarship recipients are chosen by the NHADACA Board.
