Kelsey Rubio:
Why are you nominating this individual?
"I'm nominating Kelsey Rubio for the Emerging Leader in Healing and Recovery Award because I've seen firsthand the compassionate care she gives to all of her clients.
From the initial admission, when a woman is scared and trembling from the unknown and discomfort of change, Kelsey meets them where they are at and sits with them in the discomfort. She has a calm but powerful presence that puts the women we serve at ease. This is also how she makes her colleagues feel, you truly feel heard and seen when you're speaking with Kelsey.
Whether she's sitting with a client during their therapy session, or pulling weeds out of the garden, getting her hands dirty during a gardening group, Kelsey approaches everyone she meets with kindness.
I believe Kelsey would be a perfect example of a leader in the recovery world, and I hope that you have the honor to meet Kelsey and honor her with this award."
