PRESENTATION: We all have unconscious biases that influence the way we move through the world and how we interact with others. Despite their current unconscious nature, we can actively work to change those biases and shift our behaviors. This will be an experiential learning presentation focused on exploring the internal mechanisms that influence how we perceive others, typically in a negative context, and how we can work to change those behaviors. Participants will be able to:
Learn about the psychological processes that perpetuate conscious and unconscious biases.
Explore your own unconscious biases, how they developed, and what you can do about them.
