Join us for the kickoff session of the finance training series that will include 6 months of virtual lunch & learn sessions (1/29, 2/26, 3/25, 4/29, and 5/20) with three in-person summary sessions (1/8/24, 4/8/24 and 6/10/24).   Created for contractors with the Bureau of Drug & Alcohol Services and the Governor's Commission on Alcohol and Other Drugs, the series kicks-off with an overview of the contract life cycle, roles and responsibilities overview as well as a preview of the upcoming series.   It will be followed by lunch and learns on procurement, budgets, and indirect costs.    An in-person session on April 4, 2024 will summarize the previous lunch and learns and review the contract life cycle.   April and May lunch and learn sessions will address subrecipient monitoring, supporting documentation, invoicing, budget revisions and ratio requirements.  These lunch and learns will be reviewed and the series will wrap up with an in-person session on 6/10/24.


Save the dates for upcoming virtual lunch & learn sessions  from 11:30am - 12:30pm on: 1/29, 2/26, 3/25, 4/29, 5/20.   Registration for the lunch and learn sessions will open following the 1/8 in-person session. 


Because space is limited individuals must register for each date separately.

Presenters:  Brooke Provost joins us from the State of New Hampshire's DHHS Bureau of Contracts and Procurement.  She is an Administrator III, overseeing contracting teams.  She provides oversight of and strategic planning for contract and procurement activities to meet the Department's programmatic and fiscal objectives.  Brooke has an extensive background in project management and program planning. 

Melissa Kelleher joins us from the State of New Hampshire’s DHHS Grants Office. She is the Grants Administrator, overseeing Federal Award policy and compliance. Primarily, she is responsible for the Federal grant compliance, including consistent evaluation of discretionary grant opportunities and ensuring subrecipient monitoring across all divisions and bureaus.

Melissa has an extensive background in auditing and administrative law, which have helped to shape the agency’s approach to interpreting and complying with applicable regulations.


This training is financed under a contract with the State of NH, Department of Health and Human Services, with funds provided in part by the State of NH and/or such funding sources as were available or required, e.g., the United States Department of Health and Human Services.  Refreshments for the in-person sessions are generously provided through a grant from the NH Charitable Foundation.
